The Custom Builders Council was established by the Home Builders Association of Washtenaw County (HBAWC) to provide a positive building experience with extensive client support, contractor and subcontractor accountability and detailed, high-quality craftsmanship.
Members of the HBAWC Custom Builders Council are required to:
- Be principally engaged in custom home building
- Have experience in every aspect of custom home building
- Comply with the CBC Code of Ethics
- Provide comprehensive warranties
- Maintain a good credit rating
- Be licensed and insured as required by the State of Michigan
- Be committed to high quality construction, responsible business practices, and reliable service
- Provide references
